About Us
The Marches Scribes group was founded in 1991 by a small number of artists with a shared love of calligraphy. Though we came from all over the country, our interest sustained the group, which thrived and now boasts a membership of nearly 50 from up and down the border including Herefordshire, Shropshire, Powys, Monmouth, Worcestershire and Kidderminster.
The group is open to newcomers and beginners and all receive a friendly welcome. To find out more about coming to a workshop or joining the group, get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
The aim of the Marches Scribes is to promote the art of calligraphy and lettering.
We are a friendly and welcoming group based in the Welsh Marches near Leominster, we now have a membership of over 40 from up and down the border including Herefordshire, Shropshire, Powys, Monmouth, Worcestershire and Kidderminster.
